The founders

We work with organisations, businesses and people to create more sustainable communities.

Peter Karichu, CFA

Co-founder & Exec. Director

Peter leads our mission, cultivating an organizational culture that is centered on compassion and devotion to the children we serve.

Born and raised in rural Kenya, Peter understands the plight of children growing up in poor rural areas, and the things that are possible if these children are involved in tackling some of the most serious challenges we face.

He started his career in the finance, working in banking and in fintech for a decade in Kenya and Europe, before he found his life’s purpose.

Peter is a Chartered Financial Analyst, an MBA finalist at the University of East London, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from Kenyatta University.

Robert Kuria, CPA

Co-founder and Director

Robert is the CEO of Fantom Group, an umbrella of diverse financial and real estate service companies.

He was instrumental in the formation of Involve the Children, offering some of their family land for our first tree nurseries in Limuru area. He also generously provided us with office space and working amenities for the initial set up.

Robert was born and raised in rural Kenya, living through the adversity that, unfortunately, too many children raised in these areas have to deal with. He also understands that with the right support, these children can make something great out of their lives.

Robert is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Kenyatta University.

Joseph Karanja,CFE

Co-founder and Director

Joseph is an astute tax forensics professional.

He has surmounted enormous barriers to get to where he is. Barriers that will only get bigger for the many children growing up in rural Kenya, if we don’t take action.

He understands that it took the constant efforts of the adults in his childhood to involve him in various aspects of his upbringing and mould him into what he is today, something he is eager to extend to millions of children who may not be as fortunate.

Joseph is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science from Kenyatta University and a Master’s of Arts in Security Management finalist at the same institution.
